Suzuki has expanded its vehicle lineup in Brunei with the launch of the Pakistan-manufactured Alto and Every, marking a significant milestone for the Japanese automaker’s overseas production operations.

The two compact models are manufactured by Pak Suzuki Motor Company in Pakistan and will be marketed in Brunei through Boustead Sdn. Bhd., Suzuki’s authorised local distributor.

The launch took place on August 27 at the Airport Mall Atrium in Bandar Seri Begawan as part of an event commemorating 50 years since Boustead became a Suzuki distributor in Brunei.

Pakistan-Made Suzuki Models Enter Brunei Market

The arrival of the Alto and Every adds two compact vehicles to Suzuki’s passenger-car range in Brunei.

Both models feature dimensions and engine specifications associated with Japan’s kei-car category. According to Suzuki, this is the first occasion on which vehicles matching those body-size and engine-displacement specifications have been exported from a Suzuki production facility outside Japan.

Pak Suzuki will manufacture the vehicles locally before shipping them to Brunei for sale through Boustead.

The development highlights Pakistan’s growing role as a production base for Suzuki vehicles intended for international markets.

Suzuki Motorcycles Set for Brunei Launch

Boustead also revealed plans to add Suzuki motorcycles to its Brunei portfolio.

The company expects motorcycle sales to begin around autumn 2026, with several larger models planned for customers interested in touring and recreational riding.

The proposed range includes the Suzuki Hayabusa, GSX-S1000GX and GSX-8R.

Officials Attend Suzuki Launch Event

Approximately 120 guests attended the anniversary celebration and vehicle launch.

Among those present were Yutaka Kikuta, Japan’s Ambassador to Brunei, and Lim Jin Lee, Executive Manager of Boustead.

Takashi Ise, Managing Officer and Executive General Manager of Motorcycle Operations, also attended the ceremony.

Distributors, business partners and other representatives from the automotive industry were also among the guests.

Strong Demand for Cars in Brunei

Brunei is characterised by a high level of vehicle ownership, with private cars playing an important role in everyday transportation.

Many residents depend on personal vehicles for commuting, school travel and other regular journeys.

Boustead already offers a selection of Suzuki vehicles in the Brunei market. Its existing passenger-vehicle range is largely focused on compact models and SUVs designed for everyday use.

The current lineup includes the Jimny 3-Door, Jimny 5-Door, Ertiga and Fronx.

The introduction of the Pakistan-built Alto and Every gives Suzuki another opportunity to serve Brunei’s demand for compact and practical vehicles.
